With Prime Minister Narendra Modi campaigning in Jagdalpur, electioneering has reached its peak in Chhattisgarh.
Speaking at a massive rally, the Prime Minister said that past governments used Naxalism as an excuse for lack of development of Chhattisgarh, but BJP government, despite all odds, worked hard for the development of the state.
Coming down heavily on naxals, Prime Minister Modi said that urban naxals while leading luxurious lives themselves, are ruining the future of tribal kids and youngsters…by arming them with weapons…He also slammed the Congress party for doing vote bank politics on the issue of naxalism…
The Prime Minister also condemned the killing of DD News cameraperson Achyuta Nanda Sahu by naxals in Dantewada. PM Modi said that an innocent journalist was killed who had come to perform his duties. The Prime Minister also slammed Congress leaders for their statements calling the naxals revolutionaries.
The Prime Minister said that he visited Chhattisgarh frequently to fulfill Vajpayee ji’s dreams for the state. He said that Congress ruled the country for decades but never cared for the upliftment of tribals.
Prime Minister Modi said it was the then Prime Minister Ataj ji who set up a separate ministry for the welfare of tribals, leading to their true development across the country.
The Prime Minister accused the ten year congress rule at the Centre of obstructing development in Chhattisgarh.
Prime Minister Modi said that after 2014, the Chhattisgarh got a dual engine to push growth in the state, one from Delhi and another from Raipur.
The Prime Minister said that his government is working with the philisophy of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’, while previous governments were involved in vote bank and caste politics. He accused Congress of treating the deprived as mere vote banks.
Prime Minister Modi said the growth journey of Chhattisgarh under the BJP rule, would not be allowed to halt….and soon the state would be one of the most developed states in the country.
With Prime Minister’s rally in the naxal infested region, election campaign ahead of phase 1 of polling in the state has gained momentum. Voting in this part of the state will take place on Monday.
