Arrangements in place for counting of votes in Karnataka tomorrow

Except for candidates, agents who have authorised passes from respective political parties and media persons, the counting centres will be out of bounds for the public.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed confidence that Congress will get absolute majority and he will win from both the constituencies, he contested from.

Reacting to the talk about Dalit Chief Minister for Karnataka, he told media persons in Mysuru that if High command and legislative party desires, he is ready to accept the suggestion without any hesitation.

He also pointed out that this was his last election and that he will act as a mentor for his party. The opposition parties have termed this statement of Siddharamaiah as sign of nervousness ahead of results 

Meanwhile, BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate Yeddyurappa said that people have voted with enthusiasm and higher voter turnout in the polls gives him the hope of getting an absolute majority in the new assembly.
