Asian Paints gains on the bourses

Asian Paints is currently trading at Rs. 1365.65, up by 1.20 points or 0.09% from its previous closing of Rs. 1363.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1361.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1370.10 and Rs. 1352.20 respectively. So far 13637 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1529.95 on 03-Apr-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1119.60 on 23-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1404.15 and Rs 1352.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 131218.26 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.79%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.84% and 21.32% respectively.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has sold over 1.92 crore shares, representing about 2 per cent stake of Asian Paints, through the open market transaction. With the sale of these shares, the stake of LIC in Asian Paints has now come down to 3 per cent from 5 per cent earlier.

Asian Paints is engaged in the business of manufacturing, selling and distribution of paints, coatings, products related to home decor, bath fittings and providing of related services. The Company’s business segments are Paints and Home Improvement.
