Udaipur : Christmas celebrations in a missionary school created misunderstandings and confusion among the residents who mistook the gathering to be a function of religion conversion.
The matter was informed to the police who interrogated some persons and later let them go. The incident took place at St Pauls school where the school management hadorganized a program to distribute blankets and sweets to the needy people as a part of Christmas celebration. ” Some of the residents thought that religion conversion was taking place and so they informed us. Large number of people had gathered in the area and so as to find out the truth, we brought some of them to investigate the matter. It was just a rumour and no conversion had taken place, we have not detained anyone neither any report has been taken” Bhanwar Lal, SHO Gogunda told Udaipur Kiran.
