J&K Cabinet reshuffle: Kavinder Gupta sworn-in as Deputy CM

Kavinder Gupta took oath as the new Deputy Chief Minister of the state. With two vacancies already existing in the quota of BJP and resignations of three more Ministers sent to Governor NN Vohra last night, the BJP inducted an equal number of five new faces in the Council of Ministry to maintain its strength at 11. 

The other new faces inducted are, Satpal Sharma,  Sunil Kumar Sharma, Rajiv Jasrotia, Dr Devender Kumar Manyal, and Shakti Raj.   

PDP also inducted two new Ministers including Mohammad Khalil Band and Mohammad Ashraf Mir. It dropped one of the Ministers to keep its strength at 14.

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh had said that cabinet reshuffle is a normal thing in any democratic setup.
