Liquor worth 3 crores meant for poll bound Gujarat seized

Udaipur : In a major achievement, Dungarpur police has succeeded in seizing a large stock of illegal liquor from two different areas on the Rajasthan-Gujarat border on thursday night, The seizure is told to be worth some 3 crores, the counting of bottles that had begun in the morning continued till late night, sources claimed. A special team constituted by Dungarpur SP ShankarDutt Sharma had raided a factory after being tipped of illegal transportation of liquor to Gujarat.

The team raided a soap stone factory at Shishod village and seized over 3 thousand cartoons of Haryana manufactured liquor. The team also seized 5 trucks and 3 pick up vehicles parked inside the factory. ” The liquor was meant to be supplied and transported  to various parts of poll bound Gujarat but we managed to bust the gang, one has been arrested” Sharma said.  Similarly the Bicchiwada police team held a sudden raid at a house in Sherwada village and found 137 cartoons of liquor. The houseowner Chetan Meena managed to escape and the police has launched a search to nab him.
