Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 13th International Oil and Gas Conference – PETROTECH-2019 in Greater Noida on Monday.
The theme of the conference is Shaping the New Energy World through Innovation and Collaboration. The event showcases the recent market and investor friendly developments that have taken place in the country’s oil and gas sector.
Addressing the energy ministers and representatives of over 95 countries, PM Modi has pitched for moving towards responsible pricing, which balances the interests of both the producer and consumer.
PM Modi said LPG connections have been given to over 64 million households in just under three years under the Ujjwala Scheme.
PM Modi said that energy justice is a key objective for India and towards this end, India has developed and implemented many policies and the results of these efforts are now evident.
Prime minister Modi felicitated the United Arab Emirates minister of state Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber with the 2019-20 Petrotech life time achievement award in international category. The conference for next 2 days will discuss the challenges the world is facing in the energy sector.
