Udaipur : The Chittorgarh police have arrested three men for looting a Belgium couple at Gathwada village under Bijaypur police station area limit on Sunday late night. The couple were travelling in their car and had halted for a break on a hillside around 11 pm when few men who came on a bike pelted stones on their car and forced the tourists to come out.
Taking advantage of the darkness, the robbers threatened the couple and fled with 8 thousand rupees cash in their possession. The tourists managed to reach the highway and went to Sadar police station and reported about the incident. The police swung into action and went to the crime spot. At the instructions of the Chittorgarh SP, a joint team of four police stations laid check points and intensely searched the area and finally succeeded in arresting three men within few hours of the loot. The accused hail from a nomadic community.
Anil so Pannalal Kanjar and his two aides have been arrested while police is in search for three others who were involved in the loot. The joint team was led by Add SP Vipin Sharma comprising teams of Rashmi, Bijaypur, Chanderia and Sadar police stations. Police has seized two motorbikes used by the accused for the loot. Sources said, fortunately, the couple were not hurt. The stones were thrown at the glass of their car, however, they were safe.
